Abstract
Thyrotoxicosis induced Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) is a rare condition with very few cases in the literature. Although the pathophysiology of TCM has been explored extensively, we do not have a robust understanding of this condition. Thyroid hormone is known to increase myocardial contractility, and while the mechanism is unclear, there is an association between hyperthyroidism and TCM.
