Abstract
The present article discusses the translation of linguistic poetry using through-translation. It is a translation method based on the foreignizing of translation and involves replacing the linguistic structures used in a given work with their linguistic equivalents in the target language. By applying this technique, it is possible to convey the original structures of the source language, which constitute the main element of the language poetry works. Hence, through-translation poses a suitable way to translate hapax legomena, word-formation references and puns. Moreover, this technique contributes to the preservation of the metaphors and poetic images contained in the original versions of poems.
