Three-component, one-pot synthesis of benzo fused pyrroles using a catalytic amount of MCM-41

Abstract

A method for synthesis of pyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzoxazine derivatives has been developed through the one-pot, three-component reaction of o-aminophenols, acetylenic esters and β-nitrostyrene derivatives in the presence of catalytic amount of MCM-41. This protocol has some advantages including little catalyst loading, short reaction times, and recovery and reusability of the catalyst.
