Abstract

A third order solution of wave motion under the ice sheet was derived. The energy flux method was employed to calculate the wave height change at the ice sheet edge. According to the theory of elastic bending, the wave conditions for the ice sheet fracture were examined. Main discussion in this paper was focused on the effect of nonlinearity.
