Abstract

On liquid AuBiPb alloys the electromotive forces measurements were performed over the whole concentration range between 700 and 1200 K using the following potentiometric cell (−) Pb Pb 2+ , ( KClLiCl) Au x Bi y Pb z (+) Lead partial molar free energies of formation were determined for 42 ternary alloys. These compositions are distributed among the following ternary sections: x Au x Bi = 1 3 , 1 2 , 1 1 , 2 1 , 3 1 and 17 3 . Moreover, some points of the liquidus surface were deduced from these measurements.
