Abstract

Thermal diffusivity in single- and multi-domain TGS crystals, pure and doped, from 20°C to 70°C was studied by Angstroem's temperature wave method. It is assumed that multi-domain pure TGS crystals as well as those doped with foreign ions or molecules can be treated as solid two-phase systems with different thermal diffusivity in either phase. On this assumption the thickness of domain walls in pure TGS crystals and also the sizes of the distorted lattice regions in doped single-domain TGS crystals were evaluated.
