Abstract
Abstract The domain structure of pure and doped dl-ATGS crystals has been investigated on cleaved (010) surface by both the etching technique and the improved powder-pattern technique. It was shown that there is a difference between the domain configuration of pure TGS and that of doped dl-ATGS. The pure crystals have antiparallel 180 polydomain structure but the doped dl-ATGS crystals have the single domain structure. The detectors made from the doped dl-ATGS crystals show high detectivity without depolarization effect.
