Abstract

The thermal-conductivity coefficients (χ) of single-crystal and polycrystalline samples of the isostructural iron and cobalt monosilicides have been measured. There is a discussion of the role of bipolar diffusion in heat transfer and of the mechanisms for electron and phonon scattering in these compounds.
