Abstract
The performance analysis and upgradations of lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion) has become the prime concern in automotive industries. By maintaining the temperature within the recommended ranges, battery performance can be made effective. The present work discusses the aspects of effective battery thermal management system (BTMS), wherein the temperature effects on performance of battery have been analysed for different scenarios viz. low temperature and high temperature performances. A liquid-cooled Li-ion battery pack in COMSOL was designed and simulated to verify temperature differences before and during the load. Moreover, fabricated a BTMS model which is capable to decrease the temperature by 2–4 °C with particular time limits.
