Abstract

Objective To evaluate and analyze the therapeutic effects of safflower yellow pigment combined with benazepril on diabetic nephropathy. Methods Sixty-two patients with diabetic nephropathy treated in Yuncheng Central Hospital from March 2017 to February 2019 were selected. And they were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 31 cases in each group. Patients in the observation group were treated with safflower yellow pigment combined with benazepril, and patients in the control group were treated with benazepril. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the blood glucose control of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05); the serum levels of cystatin (CysC), homocysteine (Hcy), creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) in the observation group were improved more significantly than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was 87.10%(27/31), which was significantly higher than the 61.29%(19/31) in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Safflower yellow pigment combined with benazepril has a great clinical effect on the development of diabetic nephropathy. It can effectively control the blood sugar levels of patients with diabetic nephropathy, reduce the levels of CysC, Hcy, Scr and BUN, and improve the total effective rate of treatment. Key words: Diabetes mellitus; Safflower yellow pigment; Benazepril; Blood sugar level
