Abstract
AbstractIn order to examine the wear of polymer composite gears, a test facility has been developed which has enabled the wear of gear trains to be measured continuously during gear operation. Brief details of the method are given. The purpose of this paper is to report some of the results obtained from this facility and, in particular, to discuss the effect of temperature on the wear of acetal gears.
