Abstract

Based on the testing principle of polymer composite gear wear life testing machine, the model of gear tooth wear and contact interface thermal coupling in polymer composite gear meshing transmission process was established. The friction and heat simulation analysis of gear is carried out by Ls-prepost software, and the main factors affecting the temperature rise field distribution in the meshing drive of molecular composite gear are analyzed. The instantaneous temperature rise was measured in real time by infrared thermal imager, and the surface morphology of the gear teeth was analyzed. The influence mechanism of tooth surface contact temperature field and tooth surface wear on the dynamic performance of polymer gear is discussed. The results show that the failure form of gear tooth under low load is transitional wear, and the failure form of gear tooth under high load is tooth fracture.When the pivot block deflects to 3°, the wear rate decreases with the increase of tooth surface temperature.
