Abstract
Objective To study the value of painless labor in reducing the rate of cesarean section and the effect on the indications of cesarean section, to provide new ideas and theoretical support for reducing the rate of cesarean section. Methods Two hundred and sixty-four cases of pregnant women were selected as the research objects, according to whether the painless childbirth, they were divided into painless childbirth group and the conventional group, with 132 cases in each group. The conventional group with routine delivery, and the painless childbirth group was given by injection of ropivacaine for painless childbirth. The maternal cesarean section rate, cesarean section indications constitute the ratio of the two groups were compared and observed, and oxytocin use rate, the total production process and the full time of the palace were recorded. Results The painless childbirth group cesarean section rate was 31.06% (41/132), the conventional group cesarean section rate was 32.58% (43/132), there was significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). There were significant differences between the maternal and the social factors in the painless delivery group (P 0.05). There were statistically significant differences in the rates of oxytocin use, total labor time and the total duration of oxytocin in the painless childbirth group (P<0.05). Conclusions Through the implementation of painless childbirth, the cesarean section rate can not be reduced significantly, but the incidence of cesarean section caused by social factors can be reduced. Therefore, the corresponding treatment measures can be taken to eliminate the social factors that can lead to cesarean section, improve the quality of obstetrics, ensure the health of mother and infant. Key words: Painless labor; Cesarean section rate; Indications of cesarean section
