Abstract
Dasycladalean algae relating to the fossil tribe Aciculelleae Bassoullet et al. were found in thin sections of Visean deposits of the Donets Basin and the Don-Dnieper Depression. The interpretation of genera of this tribe is controversial. Thorough analysis of the descriptions and illustrations in taxonomic publications led to the conclusion that Sphinctoporella Mamet et Rudloff, 1972, Frosterleyella Elliott, 1988, and Diploporeae gen. indet. are synonyms of genus Kulikia Golubtsov, 1961.
