Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of quality control circle(QCC) activities to improve the writing ability of nurses. Methods 23 nursing staffs were as the research object which come from department of endocrinology of Liyuan Hospital Affiliated Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, established nurse quality control circle group, through literature retrieval and hospital in research and writing the nurse survey, published the difficult factors. The improvement measures was used in QCC, such as inviting the expert teaching, self-learning and exchanging the information during the nurses, information collecting of journals, understanding the policy of hospital, establishing the conditions of the novelty search and retrieval, subscribe to organize nursing journals and Deming cycle (PDCA). Finally, the nursing thesis were compared before and after carrying out the QCC activities. Results After the QCC activities was carried out 1 year, the nurses in the submission number, journal employed number were higher than before, the difference had statistical significance (P 0.05). 23 circle six aspects of the progress of scientific research ability of self rating, after the implementation of the scores were higher than before the implementation. It was improved that nurses in hospital nursing knowledge contest and in charge of the hospital lecture number in the post implementation. The difference had statistical significance which nurses who in charge of the hospital lectures number before and after implementation, P<0.05. Conclusions QCC activity can effectively improve the clinical nurse education and scientific research theory level, and promote the nurse thesis writing and publishing.
