Abstract
The comparative efficacy of a number of fungicides was tested on the conidia ofGloeosporium fructigenum Berk. f.chromogenum Gorter, the cause of olive anthracnose in South Africa. The tests were based on the slide-germination technique recommended by the American Phytopathological Society and modified to suit local conditions. It was necessary to use a stimulant to encourage germination.
