Abstract

The thermal annealing reactions of 131I β −1-decay products in 131Te- and 131mTe-labelled telluric acid involve the participation of crystal defects present as an inherent bulk property of the lattice. The radioactive decay process itself also influences the course of the subsequent annealing reactions. The thermal annealing of 129Te isomeric transition products in 129mTe-labelled telluric acid involves only defects generated in the recoil zone.
