Abstract
The paper analyzes the use of the term “Bolsherechenskaya archaeological culture” in domestic anthropological publications of the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries. Using historiographical and conceptual analysis, the author of the paper presents the main options and contradictions in using the term “Bolsherechenskaya” archaeological culture within the framework of anthropological publications. The analysis of available materials helps to emphasize the discussion points regarding the contradictory and inconsistent use of this term in a specific regional context. Such features fully correspond to the general tendencies of crisis phenomena in using the term “archaeological culture” in modern settings.
