Abstract
Oligomethylthiirane with M = 1000 and a terminal amino group participates in poly-condensation with dianhydrides and diaminodiphenyl ether, forming triblock oligomethylthiirane-imide-oligomethylthiirane block-copolymers. The stages of oligomethylthiirane production have been studied as well as the influence of its recovery and storage conditions on block copolymer yield and composition. That block-copolymers are formed is proved by turbidimetric titration. A solvent mixture was suggested for the separation of the homopolyamide acid. The molecular characteristics of one sample have been determined. The methylthiirane block was shown to stabilize the polyamic acid during storage of the block-copolymer in solution.
