THE STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC FEATURES OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AS NOMINATION OF INTENSITY OF ACTION

Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of phraseological units which marked intensity of action in Ukrainian. The general principles of the category of intensity is established. Intensity is defined as a semantic category, which value is the quantitative characterization of a certain quality. Intensity as a component of semantic structure of phraseological units is considered. It belongs to the connotative aspects of idiomatic meaning. It was considered common indicators of the semantics intensity expressing in the interpretation and on the level of phraseological units structure. The semantic analysis has made it possible to pick out basic metaphorical models of the phraseological units. The phraseosemantic group of phraseological units which marked intensity of action are singled out. Established and described phraseosemantic subgroups to describe varying degrees of intensity expression action. The article presents the results of the semantic and structural analysis of phraseological units.
