Abstract

The paper is devoted to the experimental learning using Storyline approach for linguistic students of Faculty of Foreign Languages of Tomsk State University. We consider an optimal design of a story setting in business context and define target skills assigned to the whole story. We present the results of experimental learning in a group of adult linguistic students and analyse the impact of the Storyline methodology on different components of communicative competence development. Finally we suggest some pedagogical implications for more effective teaching.
