Abstract

The nature of the approximations underlying the standard methods of interpreting anisotropic electron spin resonance spectra of single crystals are explicated. Equations are derived for an unpaired electron interacting with a spin-1/2 nucleus when both the electronicg-factor and the hyperfine interactionT are anisotropic.
