Abstract
AbstractThe energy correction for conduction electrons in ferromagnetic metals due to the s ‐ d exchange is calculated by perturbation theory. It is found that the ordered d‐system effects the energy of an s‐electron in such a way that a spin‐dependent effective mass can be defined. The energy of a conduction electron is not changed if the spin of the electron and that of the d‐electrons are parallel but an energy correction appears if the spins are antiparallel. Using this result the resonance frequency and the line width of the spin resonance of conduction electrons are evaluated following Izjumov and Skrockij [1].
