Abstract

The present study aims to explore the role of e-training programs on developing the digital skills of social studies teachers in the twenty-first century as perceived by school directors. And in order to carry on the aim the of study, the researcher has identified a list of digital skills, and has built the study tool of a questionnaire consisting of four major skills, which divides into (44) branch skills. The study sample consists of (127) male and female school directors from the education of Zarqa first and second. The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample responses to the role of e-training programs in developing the digital skills of social studies teachers; it is attributed to the variable of academic qualification in the field of (digital research skills, digital management skills), in favor of the Master and higher, and also to the years of experience variable, and the absence of statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable.
