Abstract
In recent decades, the concept of social entrepreneurship has emerged as a dynamic and impactful force in addressing pressing social and environmental challenges. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the rise of social entrepreneurship, exploring its origins, evolution, and current state. Drawing on a review of scholarly literature, case studies, and empirical research, we examine the defining characteristics of social entrepreneurship and the factors driving its growth. Our analysis reveals that social entrepreneurship represents a paradigm shift in the way we conceptualize the role of business in society. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship, which focuses primarily on profit maximization, social entrepreneurship integrates social and environmental objectives into its core mission. Through innovative business models, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to sustainable impact, social entrepreneurs are addressing systemic issues such as poverty, inequality, environmental degradation, and access to essential services.
