Abstract

This paper addresses the important topic of the right to work in the context of current Polish law. After introducing the origins and axiological grounds of this right, the problem of the actuality and place of the right to work in Polish law is presented - in particular, selected regulations of constitutional law, the Labour Code and the Employment Promotion and Labour Market Institutions Act are analysed. The publication seeks to answer the fundamental questions: Has the right to work ever been included in the Polish legal order? Are we still dealing with this right? If so, what constitutes the right to work? Are the existing solutions the best possible?
