Abstract
Information is scant on the immunity response of chickens vaccinated with different concentrations of pigeon pox and fowl pox viruses. Little is known about the minimum vaccine titers necessary to induce satisfactory immunity. Seeger and Price (2) and Price and Seeger (1) observed that the number of chickens responding satisfactorily tended to decrease when the diluent used for reconstituting lyophilized fowl and pigeon pox viruses was increased. However, their findings were not correlated with a specified vaccine titer or a precise dose requirement. The study reported here was undertaken to determine the effect of virus titer on the immunity response of chickens vaccinated with different concentrations of pigeon and fowl pox viruses.
