Abstract

The goal of this work was to study the influence of the cotransplantation of stem cells (multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells and hematopoietic stem cells) on the hematopoiesis of mature and old laboratory animals exposed to ionized irradiation. It was shown that the cotransplantation of stem cells to the mature and old laboratory animals in physiological conditions led to erythropoiesis activation; in the case of the ionized irradiation, it led to the activation of both erythroand granulopoiesis. Moreover, cotransplantation of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells and hematopoietic stem cells had a cytoprotective effect on myeloid tissue due to a decrease in the concentration of cytologeneticaly modified cells in mature animals, while this effect was observed even in physiological conditions in old animals.
