Abstract

Objective To study the production process and quality control of low melting point lead block in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy with faciocervical asymmetric field.Methods We accomplished the production,validation,analysis and evaluation of 596 low melting point lead blocks.Results The total pass rate was 95 % (566/596).The integrated errors of the qualified lead blocks was less than 2 mm.Conclusion It would increase the pass rate of lead blocks if we could strengthen technician training of the lead block operations,ensure the accuracy of production equipment and rigorous examine the blocks.
