Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of prevention and nursing of chemotherapy phlebitis.Methods 126 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer after chemotherapy were divided into two groups, treatment group was given dexamethasone 5mg intravenous injection, the control group was not given the preventive treatment of phlebitis.Results The phlebitis of the treatment group was 18 cases, the rate was 29.5 %, and the phlebitis of the control group was 42 cases and the rate was 68.9%.Compared with the control group, the incidence of phlebitis in treatment group were signiticantly decreased (P < 0.01).Conclusions Dexamethasone can reduce the incidence of chemotherapy drug-induced phlebitis and its severity.Positive nursing also can reduce the incidence of phlebitis.
