Abstract

The aim of this work was to study the influence of the combined transplantation of stem cells (multipotent mesenchimal stromal and haemopoetic stem cells) on the haemopoesis of old and mature laboratory animals under ionizing radiation. The result of the experiment shows that combined transplantation causes erythropoiesis activation under physiological conditions, while it causes erythroid and granulocytopoesis activation under ionizing radiation conditions. Moreover, combined multipotent mesenchimal stromal (MMSCs) and haemopoetic stem cells (HSCs) transplantation leads to cytoprotective action on the myeloid tissue due to a decrease in cytogenetically changed cells in mature animals under ionizing radiation; in old animals this effect can be seen even under physiological conditions. Combined transplantation of MMSCs and HSCs can be used in mature and old laboratory animals under ionizing radiation for the haemopoesis activation.
