Abstract

The article presents two alternative concepts that have been traced over the centuries: positive freedom is characterised by the desire of the subject to be his own master, bearing responsibility for his actions, and negative freedom is characterised by the desire to eliminate all obstacles on the way to it. The concept of synthesis of both models of freedom is presented by I. Berlin. The problem of the correlation between freedom and justice is becoming urgent.
