Abstract

The article is devoted to the representation of the image of home, one of the dominants of Russian culture, in the works of émigré writers. In the literature of the Russian emigration, it acquires a special tragic character and is interpreted differently by representatives of different waves. However, one can single out typological features that unite émigré writers: autobiographical narrative, nostalgic motifs in the depiction of Russia, apocalyptic perception of the loss of connection with home. The analysis of the work of Rodion Berezov, a representative of the second wave, reveals the main ways of implementing the mythologeme in the prose of post-war emigration and allows us to trace the transformation of the perception of the loss of home by emigrants of different waves. The novelty of the study is due to the lack of literature studies of the second wave of emigration in the context of this issue.
