Abstract
The rates of exchange between crystalline monosodium zirconium phosphate and caesium salts in aqueous solutions have been studied by radiotracer techniques. Similar experiments were carried out on reverse exchanges in the HNa ZrP ⇌ HCs ZrP system. The rates of exchange between caesium forms of zirconium phosphate (ZrP) and aqueous sodium salts are compared to those for Na/Cs exchange. Suggestions as to the mechanisms involved are made from the results obtained.
