Abstract

CoAg granular films are prepared by molecular beam epitaxy at 250 °C with Co concentration ranging from 25% to 100%. From the torque experimental curves, we determine the values of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constants as a function of temperature. We follow the magnetization shift of these samples from perpendicular to in-plane direction with increasing Co concentration and we correlate this phenomenon to the analysis based on the minimization of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy expression.
