Abstract

A large number of distributed generators are connected to the power system, which makes the distribution network gradually become a complex multi-source network. Quantitative analysis of line loss in distribution network considering distributed generators is of great economic significance. Firstly, the time series output models of DGs are analyzed, then the DGs influence on the line loss in the distribution network is analyzed. Based on the equivalent capacity method, the equivalent resistance of an active distribution network is calculated, and the total RMS current is converted into the equivalent resistance value to obtain the power loss. A 22-node medium voltage distribution network is taken as an example to analyze line loss, and the economic operation time is calculated with the objective of minimizing the line loss. The results show that the proposed method is reasonable for calculating line loss of active distribution network and can reflect the economic benefits of DG grid-connected.
