Abstract

Matra Marconi Space (MMS) has designed a new generation of platforms for Low Earth Orbit small satellites: the LEOSTAR family. The key characteristics of the LEOSTAR platform, namely manoeuvring capability, pointing accuracy, high performance localisation, spacecraft stability and enhanced autonomy, make it perfectly adapted to high performance Observation missions. After an overview of the LEOSTAR concept, this paper presents the main performances of the LEOSTAR platform as fully confirmed and validated by the avionics tests campaign.
