Abstract

Matra Marconi Space (MMS) has completed in 98 the development and validation of the generic avionics for its new LEOSTAR™ platform. The key characteristics of the LEOSTAR™ platform, namely maneuvering capability, pointing accuracy, high performance localization, spacecraft stability and enhanced autonomy, make it perfectly adapted to Observation missions. After an overview of the LEOSTAR™ concept, this paper presents the main performances of the LEOSTAR™ platform as fully confirmed and validated by the avionics tests campaign.
