Abstract

This paper presents some characteristics of the romantic conception that still influence the processes of construction of artistic identity in contemporary times. Presents a history of these characteristics indicating its permanence as a consequence of the few changes in the political and economic model whose roots lie in the French Revolution while pointing his contribution to contemporary construction of identity of the artist.
