Abstract

This present work aims to analyze the drying kinetics of alumina particles in vibro-fluidized bed dryer. Observed drying kinetic data were predicted by the empirical Page model. Parameters of the model were estimated for different operating conditions and it was used to evaluate the universality of the dimensionless vibrating parameter. It was obtained different values of the parameters of the Page model for similar values of this vibrating parameter, leading to different drying kinetics, once it depends on the different combinations of amplitude and frequency of vibration. It was concluded that the dimensionless parameter is not unique to set the vibrational effect on drying kinetics.
