Abstract

The influence of a method for surface treatment of undoped GaP single crystals on their optical transparency is studied. The effect of light-transmittance anisotropy under illumination of the surface of polar faces was found, whereas, with other conditions being equal, illumination through the A(III) face provides a light transmittance that is up to 10% higher than for the B(III) face.
