Abstract

Previous studies have extensively discussed the relationship between work values and employee performance, and the connection between the two is generally accepted by the academic community. However, in accordance with the Iceberg Model, motivation is the core factor affecting performance, and the degree of value realization is the measure of satisfaction of motivation. Therefore, based on the perspective of social exchange theory and performance three-factor model, this paper puts forward the research model of “work value realization-engagement-work performance”. Data analysis of 346 post-90s employees shows that the realization of work values has a significant positive impact on employee performance, and the impact on relationship performance is stronger than task performance; the realization of work values has a significant positive effect on their dedication, and the ability and growth dimension have the strongest influence; employee dedication plays a part in mediating the realization of employee work values and job performance.
