Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the development prospects of the dialogue of cultures in the modern globalizing world. The interrelation of globalization with information technologies that have transformed the social and communicative space is presented. The article shows the necessity of rethinking the concepts of space and community in the conditions of the information society. The authors, designating virtual space as a new basis for social community, demonstrate its positive and negative sides in the context of development for the dialogue of cultures.
