Abstract

This article explains the effect of giving assignments on student learning outcomes in accounting subjects. Giving assignments is a method that can be used in training students to be skilled in solving accounting problems and improve better learning outcomes. This research is quantitative research with a survey approach. The research population was 106 accounting class X students at SMKN 7 Bekasi City. The research sample was taken by random sampling technique with a total sample of 37 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, learning outcomes and instrument grids. Data analysis used general descriptive and inferential. The results revealed: (1) Y and X regression correlation analysis of Y = -0.357 + 1.024 X. Y or X regression is significant, (2) Significant test of correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.949 and Fhit (F change) = 313.950, with p-value = 0.000 0.05 which means the correlation coefficients X and Y are significant and significant, (3) The coefficient of determination is R square = 0.900 which means that 90% of the variation in learning outcomes can be influenced by the assignment, (4) From the results of the analysis thit = 17.719 and p-value = 0.000/2 = 0.000 0.05 or Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that giving assignments has a positive effect on learning outcomes. Future researchers are expected to be able to examine schools with different numbers and quality of students to examine other factors related to learning outcomes, which were not examined in this study.
