Abstract

Pharmacovigilance represents a set of activities related to the collection, detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse reactions to the drug, as well as other problems related to the drug, whose ultimate goal is the availability of safe and effective medicines to patients and their rational therapeutic applications. In our country, there are constant efforts to integrate pharmacovigilance into clinical practice, or in the everyday practice of health professionals. The aim of this paper is to raise awareness of health workers veterinary profession about the importance of monitoring drug safety and point out the fact that active participation in the process of their moral and professional duty and obligation. In the Republic of Serbia in 2011, there was a rise in the number of reported cases of adverse reactions to the drug compared to the previous year as a result of intensive work ALIMS on education and information to health workers and holders of a drug on the importance of reporting adverse reactions to the drug.
