Abstract

In this article, we will discuss the importance of effective communication in the process of transferring information in the university library, because the university library is a special type of library where the majority of the users are students, lecturers, and academics. The focus of writing in this article is to examine what communication theories can be applied in tertiary institutions and what are the obstacles and what might occur when communicating in a college library. Then how should college library librarians communicate with fellow library staff or when serving users, especially users who come to do research and really need sources of information and references. Writing this article is done by analyzing related content such as books, journals, and other reference sources that are in accordance with the study of this article. By using a literature study approach and qualitative methods. The purpose of this article is to find out how important effective communication is in the college library to achieve user satisfaction.
