Abstract

A recent deterministic description of DFT and FFT coefficient errors (due to a fixed-point representation) is applied to describe the resulting frequency-response errors in the channels of a polyphase filter bank, realized by a subfilter network and a DFT. A theory is developed, verified by measurements, and, with some restricting assumptions, condensed into simple rules.
