Abstract

The discussion in this article will focus primarily on the role of scholars in Anglo-Caribbean universities. While teaching is an important responsibility of a university, for Caribbean institutions research should be equally important, if not more important, at this juncture of Caribbean development. Scholars in Caribbean institutions have a responsibility to pursue research and knowledge generation to support the development of the Region.
