Abstract

Acknowledging the significant role that both the Caribbean Journal of Education and the Journal of Education and Development in the Caribbean have played in supporting research in the Caribbean, this inaugural issue honours the contributions of all the authors who have published their work in these two journals. Distinguished Caribbean scholars provide readers with insight into the historical and foundational knowledge that underpins past and current educational research and policy in the region and speak to the role of Caribbean scholarship in the ongoing development and transformation of Caribbean education.
