THE FUNCTIONING OF THE WORD-FORMATIVE TYPES WITH SUFFIXES -ИЦ(Я) AND -ИН(И) IN UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract

Thе deverbative word-formative types in Ukrainian language defined in works by I. Kovalyk, S. Bevzenko, S. Samiylenko, V. Tokar, L. Humetska and other. Thе article is devoted to the study of functioning of the word-formative types with suffixes -иц(я) and -ин(и). The attention is focused of the development of these word-formative types. Our research is based on examples from «Dictionary of Ukrainian language» (1907 – 1909) by B. Grinchenko and «Dictionary of Ukrainian language» (1970 – 1980). To reach the aim we had to solve the following problems: to outline the verbal nouns of the word-formative types with formants -иц(я) and -ин(и) in the dictionaries; to study characteristics of these word-formative types; to analyse of they semantic load transformations on the development. Methodology: the descriptive method, the continuous sampling method, the method of morphemic and derivational analysis.
